#3) Class 6-4.2, Black Glass Lusters Specialized to Pictorials, 25 Any Size. Jersey Shore.



#4 Sect 17 and 20, 20 Any Size, specialized to two or more of the listed class on one button, i.e. 2 dogs, 2 cupids, 2 dragons, etc. Jersey Shore Button Club.



- Third Place: tie between Chris Gudrian and Pam Muzio
#5 Sect 17-0 and Setion 20-12, 24 Any Size, Specialized to 12 animals living in, on, or around water, and 12 marine scenes. May include underwater scenes. Ruth Berry Memorial Award. New Jersey Board of Directors.



#6) Sec 18-4. Baskets, 10 Any Size, 5 with something in them. Central Jersey Buttoniers.

Judge’s Corner (Comments from the Spring 2018 show that may help others put together future trays)
Award 1:Â First Place: So many rarities and lots of shapes of steel. Second Place: Some wonderful rarities, but duplication of materials (steel and brass) cost you points but very close to first place. Third Place: Look for different shapes of cut steel- yours were mostly round.
Award 2: First Place: Lovely habitat and perforate. Second Place: Close competition, First place had more pictorial variety.
Award 3: Second Place: Close competition, First Place had more pictorial variety.
Award 4: First: Good coverage of classes, great materials. Second: Duplicate material cost you points. Third: Tied for most materials but duplicating mammals and birds cost points, very close competition.
Award 5: First: Great variety of marine scenes and animals, assorted materials count put you over the top.
Award 6: First: Your variety of baskets and your materials put you on top. Second: You had many baskets with handles. Third: You lost a point for overloading on realistics but had great variety on items in baskets.
