Judge’s Corner (Comments from the Spring 2018 show that may help others put together future trays)

Award 1: First Place: So many rarities and lots of shapes of steel. Second Place: Some wonderful rarities, but duplication of materials (steel and brass) cost you points but very close to first place. Third Place: Look for different shapes of cut steel- yours were mostly round.

 

Award 2: First Place: Lovely habitat and perforate. Second Place: Close competition, First place had more pictorial variety.

 

Award 3: Second Place: Close competition, First Place had more pictorial variety.

 

Award 4: First: Good coverage of classes, great materials. Second: Duplicate material cost you points. Third: Tied for most materials but duplicating mammals and birds cost points, very close competition.

 

Award 5: First: Great variety of marine scenes and animals, assorted materials count put you over the top.

 

Award 6: First: Your variety of baskets and your materials put you on top. Second: You had many baskets with handles. Third: You lost a point for overloading on realistics but had great variety on items in baskets.
